Today’s entertainment environment provides ample opportunity for actors to take their careers into their own hands and create content in which they can shine. 

 

In this four week Zoom class I’ll break down step by step how actors can create and act in short films, feature films and episodic shows that are successful.  

 

The class will cover:

    -How to develop story ideas, write scripts and create pitch packages.

    -How to determine the best acting role for you in your project.

    -Detail the pros and cons of the various genres.

    -Provide strategies for finding investors.

    -Outline the resources and team members needed and how to get them.

    -How to generate impactful publicity to get your project noticed.

    -Explain distribution strategies for projects of every level.

    -How to use film festivals to promote themselves and their projects.

    -The common mistakes actor/filmmakers make and how to avoid them.

 

Each student will receive a private thirty-minute one-on-one session to receive guidance on a proposed project and learn concrete steps for getting it made.

 

In addition, guest speakers who are successful actor/filmmakers will discuss the steps they took and answer any questions.
